Tony Wood talks about his film, Baden Krunk

Where did the idea for the film come from?
By drawing "comedy" in the 48 hour contest, we could think of nothing funnier than black & white, German expressionism. Bleak, dour, depressing, dark events. you know, that old chestnut.

How much did the concept change when going to final edit?
Not much, as the pressure of the deadline makes you commit on first cut.

Were there any challenges during production?
100 degree heat. That was the only serious challenge. there was quite a bit of pressure, but that's one of the reasons we partake in the 48 Hour Fest. We like the intensity.

With the film completed, what has been the most rewarding thing about the whole experience?
Experiencing the film with an audience. hearing them laugh. hearing the laughter compound as the story unfolds. Hearing wheezing, chortling, gufaws and cackles. Music to my ears.

Baden Krunk will play during the Juried selection in the 13th Annual Milwaukee Short Film Festival. Saturday Nov 5th, 7pm
Tickets are $10.00
